PrerequisiteAll lifts shall be equipped with AC variable voltage and variable frequency (VVVF) drives and sleep mode features except for building typologies where such technology is not available.KONE elevators are equipped with drive controller, capable of variable voltage and variable frequency control on the drive motor. KONE can provide upon customer request technical evidence about eco efficient solutions (e.g. car light and car ventilation saving mode, stand-by mode).

CreditEncourage the use of energy efficient lighting in common areas to minimize energy consumption from lighting usage while maintaining proper lighting level.KONE can provide high efficient lighting to reduce building’s overall energy consumption. KONE can provide visual and technical evidence upon customer request.
Energy efficient practice, design and featuresCreditEncourage the use of energy efficient features which are innovative and have a positive environmental impact. Use the following energy efficient features: regenerative lift.Traffic analysis, high performing elevators, advanced people flow solutions and eco-efficient features are provided by KONE in order to reduce the energy consumption of the building. All KONE elevators can be equipped with regenerative drive and we can provide evidence of potential energy savings. KONE can also provide ISO 25745 energy efficiency class certificates for our elevators and escalators, granted by third-parties.

NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS (NRB): 2015

Applicable to new non-residential buildings including commercial buildings (office, retail and hotel), industrial buildings and institutional buildings, healthcare facilities, laboratory buildings and schools.

PrerequisiteComply with SS 530 : 2014 - Code of Practice for Energy Efficiency Standard for Building Services and Equipment Energy efficiency of lifts and escalators may take reference to VDI 4707 for planning. For measurements of energy consumption on installed equipment, ISO 25745 could be applied.KONE can provide energy-efficiency calculations in accordance with ISO 25745 and VDI 4707, customized energy performances reports and third-party verified ISO 25745 energy efficiency class certificates for our elevators and escalators.

PrerequisiteSubsystem measurement devices with remote capability shall be provided, linked to a monitoring system and measure and trend energy consumption data of: - Lift and escalator (Sum of all feeders) >50 kVAKONE elevators can be monitored upon customer request through separate accessible energy sub-meters. Energy monitoring systems need to be realized in accordance with the whole building energy monitoring systems.
KONE also offers 24/7 Connected Services with specific energy monitoring options on request.
